"Much Hands makes the load lighter"

| Message from the Pastor

The Jericho Baptist Church is made up of warm, friendly people from different background that have among others, one significant thing in common, we love Jesus Christ with all our heart and is committed to expanding His Kingdom upon the earth.

Our church is comprised of many ministries catering to the various needs and age groups present within our congregation. Children ministry, Youth Ministry, Young adult ministry, Women ministry, Men ministry, Senior ministry, worship ministry, Music ministry, Outreach ministry, etc. there is a place for everyone.

The Jericho Baptist church is a people of the Word. We believe that the word of God is absolute. We are committed to growing in our knowledge of the Word and in our obedience to the word so that God will be glorified in and through all that we do.

Our services are filled with exuberant praise and worship, we believe that our God is alive and as his people we are to rejoice, celebrate, and adore him. Our services are filled with shouts of Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, thank you Jesus as the gathered worshippers verbally express themselves freely in worship to the Almighty God, all in a spirit of order. Our services are structured and orderly but at the same time they flow consistently.

The reach of the Jericho Baptist Church is to fill this nation, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the world at Large with the unchanging message of Jesus Christ, to see a body of people touched through this ministry all for the glory of God.

Attempting and Expecting 2009

At the Jericho Baptist Church our theme for this year is attempting and Expecting modeled after the motto of the famed Missionary William Carey, "Expect great things from God, Attempt great things for God.

The challenger this year is for us, both as a body of believers and in our personal life to:

I. Abandon the I Can't Syndrome.
II. Embrace the I Can Do all things through Christ Attitude.
III. Experience the humanly Impossible.

Let us move out of our comfort zone and live off the edge. The world indeed have yet to see what God can do through a church that have absolute faith in Him and that is committed to him wholeheartedly -  We seek to be that Church.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE

The Sermon on Good Friday amplified the Significants of the Crucifixion Of Jesus Christ. Through His sacrificial Death he has:

1. The Cross represents the cancelling of debts consisting of decrees against us - Col. 2:14 KJV.

2. The Cross Represent the Disarming of rulers and authorities - Col. 2:15 NLT.

3. The Cross represent God's way of presenting us holy, without blame and complete before His Presence - Col. 1:21-22 KJV.

Praise be to our God who has done such wonderful things for us.

RESURRECTION SUNDAY

On Resurrection Sunday the sermon was centered around the life of Lazarus whom Jesus had risen from the Dead. Lazarus after his resurrection became living, tangible evidence of the power, reality and truthfulness of Jesus Christ. every time someone saw Lazarus they was confronted with the truth the indeed Jesus has proven that He is who he said He is.

Similar every believer who like Lazarus have been quicken by the Spirit of God and made alive (Eph2:1KJV) is living, tangible evidence of the resurrect Christ. Our transformed live is proof of his power and reality. Let others know about how he has turned your life around - You are EVIDENCE.
